when your friend finds you after a tv show marathon
What are y’alls favourite thing for dinner?
(doesn’t have to be poutine, I’m just trying to get dinner ideas because I honestly don’t know what to cook tonight lol)
Anonymous asked: isn’t poutine from quebec?
It is. Like okay, all I’m saying is from the few poutine’s I’ve had here in the Ottawa Valley (which is literally half an hour away from Quebec and there are A LOT of French people here), they’re pretty crappy for being so close to where they were invented. I haven’t tried one from Quebec, but i’m hoping that when I do it’s actually good.
Anonymous asked: What about poutine in Quebec? Is that not good as well (since it’s in the East)?
Haven’t been there yet, but Ontario poutine is literal poo.
Surprisingly, poutine in the East isn’t all that great.
(if anyone is ever in Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island, I highly recommend Old City Takeout.)
Anonymous asked: Have you ever tired Costco poutine its like heaven in your mouth
Oh my yes, don’t remind me or I’ll foodgasm right here, right now mmmmm
Poutine from the Millstone Eatery! Not the best Ive ever had, but it cured my craving
So I was in Petawawa, Ontario a couple weeks ago, which is right along the border of Quebec. I ordered poutine while I was there, and honestly… I mean it was good, but I expected it to be heavenly. and it wasn’t.
Old City Takeout in Nanaimo, BC still makes the best poutine I’ve ever had!
